The day is run with the sole aim of raising as much money as possible for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The charity provides free accommodation in or close to hospitals and hospices throughout the UK, so families of seriously ill children can stay together whilst their child is being treated. They provide more than 400 rooms for families each night of the year.
